Categorize your emotional responses as either productive or unproductive. It is the emotions that move you forward, that mobilize you, that keep you processing and flowing life force that you want to habituate and perpetuate in your neurology and physiology. And it’s the emotions that stall you, move you into tension, and frustrate your nervous system, that you want to keep deactivating, clearing, releasing. When you find yourself in an emotional response, ask yourself: is this moving me forward or is this frustrating my nervous system? If it’s the latter, ask yourself again: am I willing to let this go, to let this dissolve, in favor of a more mobilizing response?
